Tuesday, April 25, 1995Phillip Robinson, 72
BAXTER - Phillip Eugene Robinson, 72, of Colo, died Tuesday, April 25, at Houston.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethany United Church of Christ, Baxter, with the Rev. Bill Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery, Ira. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Boyd-Davis Funeral Home, Baxter. A memorial fund has been established.
He was born Aug. 22, 1922, at Rolla, Mo., to Claude and Maude Branson Robinson. He graduated from Des Moines North High School and later from Drake University. He served in the Navy during World War II. He married Irene Whitehead on March 16, 1946, in Des Moines. He was self-employed in Maytag sales and service, retiring in 1984. He was a member of Ripon, Wis., Masonic Lodge, the Ira Christian Church and the Oaks Christian Church in Houston.
Survivors include his wife Irene of Colo; two daughters, Michele (Mrs. Damon) DiBassie of Houston and Marcia (Mrs. Cameron) Robinson-Giffen of Roanoke, Va.; a son, Mark Aaron Robinson of Los Alamos, N.M.; two grandchildren; a brother, Frank of Ankeny; and three sisters, Jesse Bognanno of Des Moines, Elva Jones of Johnston and Esther Long of Hot Springs, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
