CARROLL MCCANN
Des Moines

Carroll D. McCann, 80, of 2824 E 16th St. died of a heart ailment Sunday at home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Central Lutheran Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Born in Monroe, Mr. McCann spent most of his life in Des Moines. He retired as a superintendent of production with AMF Western Tool and was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Doris; three daughters, Ruth Geringer of West Des Monies, Jane Lindebak of Wichita, Kan., and Judy Stockwell of Oceanside, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton's Funeral Home.

Carroll McCann was my 2nd cousin. He was born November 15,1918 and died December 27,1998. He was the son of Edith Finn McCann and Clyde D. McCann.
