Mrs. G. Jennings Dies Thursday At Skiff Hospital

Mrs. Jennie Nearmyer Jennings of Prairie city, 77, died at the Skiff Memorial Hospital 7:50 P.m. Thursday. In failing health for the past ten years, Mrs. Jennings suffered a broken hip in a fall Mar. 7, and was admitted to the hospital, Mar. 8.

Survivors include the husband, Grant Jennings, to whom she was married 57 years ago and 11 children: Lloyd, Mrs. John Colyn, Arthur, Harold, Gladys, Mrs. Laura Honnold, Hubert and Carl all of Prairie City; Howard of Moline, Ill.; Mrs. Julia Brooks of Des Moines, also 43 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Mrs. Jennings was born near Monroe and had spent her entire life in Jasper county, residing many years at their farm home southeast of Prairie City. She was a member of the Prairie City Methodist church.
