Rites at Prairie City Today for Anna F. Taylor

PRAIRIE CITY - Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Faber Taylor, 86, were held at 2 o'clock today at the First Reformed Church in Prairie City. Burial was in the Waveland Cemetery.

Mrs. Taylor died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Peter Bartelma, in Vandalia.

Born near Otley on Dec. 10, 1861, Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of Henry and Margaret Hoekstra. She was married to Peter Faber of Prairie City, Oct. 14, 1880. Four children were born to the union. Two of the children preceded her in death.

Mr. Faber died Aug. 30, 1928. On Oct. 22, 1936, she was married to T. B. Taylor, who survives. Other survivors are one daughter, Margaret Bartelma, and a son, Cyrus H. Faber of Newton. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, April 1948
