OLD RESIDENT TAKEN BY DEATH
Mrs. Elizabeth Robson, County Pioneer, Dies at Her Home in This City Sunday Noon
Mrs. Elizabeth Robson, widow of the late Joseph Robson, died at her home on West Third Street South Sunday noon. Uremic poisening, from which she had sufferd for a period of three weeks, is assigned as the cause of death.

Mrs. Robson was born in England Apr 20, 1848. She was married in 1870 and in 1887 Mr. and Mrs. Robson came to America, coming directly to Jasper County. They lived near Colfax until about two years ago when they moved to Newton which has since been their home. Mr. Robson died about a year ago.

She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Frank Bissett and Mrs. John Knapp, of this city; Mrs. Jennie Chew and Mrs. Jerry Riley of Colfax, and Mrs. George Caldwell of Montana; three sons, John of Baxter, Elmer of this city and Howard, who is at the present time in France.

Mrs. Robson, for a number of years, had been a faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal church.
Short funeral services will be held at the residence at 9:30 o'clock Tuesday morning, in charge of Dr. W. H. Heppe, pastor of the local Methodist Episcopal church. The funeral party will then go to Colfax on train number 9 and funeral services will be held at the Colfax Methodist Epicopal church at 1 o'clock, in charge of the Rev. Mr. Brooks, pastor of the Methodist church there. Interment will be made at Colfax.

It was one of Mrs. Robson's greatest wishes that she might be permitted to see her son, Howard, who is now in the service of his country somewhere in France. At the signing of the armistice she was particularly happy, living in the thought that she would soon have the privilege of seeing her soldier son, --a wish she never was able to realize.

The relatives have the sympathy of a large number of friends.
