Charles Cole, 96, Succumbs

Charles Cole, 96, died last night at the Skiff Memorial Hospital. He had been staying at the Minnie Osten rest home.

The body was taken to Colfax where services and interment will be held.

Funeral services will be held at the Bumgardner Funeral Chapel in Colfax Monday afternoon at 2:00o’clock with the Rev. Wilmer Leeds, Christian Church pastor, in charge. Burial will be at Prairie City.

Mr. Cole was born, Dec. 23, 1848. He had lived in Iowa for 92 years. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, Nov. 10, 1943
