Funeral Services For C. Riddle Held Thursday
PRAIRIE CITY - Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for C. H. Riddle at the Walters Funeral home in char of the Rev. W. W. Marzahn of the Methodist church. Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Carrol Colston, Dorothy Moul, Mrs. Earl Williams and Herman Van Zee, with Mrs. Sam McFadden at the piano. They sand "Lead Kindly Light," and "Crossing the Bar." Pallbearers were Henry De Wilt, Harry DeHann, D. M. Hemminger, D. C. Norris, Ralph Roberts and John Van Steinbergen. Interment was in Waveland Cemetery.
Mr. Riddle was born in Atlissa, Ia., May 22, 1867, and died suddenly at his home Sunday morning.
He came to Prairie City at the age of 22. He became a druggist under the apprenticeship of his brother, N. D. riddle, and has been in that business in Prairie City for the past 66 years. In December, 1906, he was married to Blanche Little who, with a daughter, Frances, survive.
