J. Trusler Dies Today
Services for Jasper County Man to be Held Wednesday
James A. Trusler, 61, owner of the Brown Swiss dairy, died at his home 3 miles northwest of Newton at 10:20 this morning following a heart attack.
Mr. Trusler who had been ill the past three months, was dismissed from the Skiff Memorial Hospital four weeks ago.
Born Sept. 24, 1880, the son of James W. and Henrietta Trusler, he had spent his entire life in Jasper County.
He was united in marriage to Rena Bientema March 10, 1909, and the couple went to housekeeping on the farm where they now live.
Two sons were born to the union, Clifford Trusler who lives on the parental farm and Ralph who met a tragic death Dec. 23, 1940, in an Automobile accident north of Newton.
Surviving relatives include his wife, son and one grandson, James Hall Trusler.
Other relatives are two sisters, Mrs. Clyde Wright of near Newton and Mrs. James Miller of near Ira; also two brothers, Claude Trusler of near Newton and Ray Trusler of Madison, Wis.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Morgan Funeral Home with Rev. Frederick D. Boldt in charge.
