Mrs. Jane McGregor, wife of D. A. McGregor, passed away at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. W. A. Fox at Stillwater, Okla., March 22, 1909, at 2 o’clock in the morning, aged 74 years, 3 months and 16 days. Her maiden name was Jane Ikerd. She was born in Bedford, Indiana, December 6, 1834, and came with her parents to Illinois, where she was married to Mr. McGregor on November 9th, 1855; from there they moved to Iowa.

Deceased had been a constant Christian and active worker for over fifty years – we sorrow not as those that have no hope.

They went to Oklahoma fourteen years ago and have resided there ever since. She was the mother of eleven children, only one of whom has preceded her to the other shore. They were all at her bedside except one son and daughter, Edwin McGregor and Mrs. Maggie Raymond.

Those present were Mrs. Ella Huffman, of Bellville, Kansas; B. L. McGregor of Reasnor, Iowa; E. R. McGregor and family of Stillwater, Okla.; D. E. McGregor of Windfield, Kansas; Mrs. Augusta Mather of Arcadia, Nebraska; James McGregor and family of Snohomish, Washington; Mrs. Minnie Dickerhool and husband of Bellville, Kansas; and Mrs. Mary Fox and family of Stillwater, Oklahoma. ~ Newspaper unknown.
