Mrs. Beason, 80, Lynnville Lady, Dies in Newton
Lynnville (Special) - Mrs. Estella Kirkpatrick Beason, 80, died yesterday afternoon shortly after suffering a heart attack while attending the funeral services for a grandson at a Newton funeral home.
She was at the services for Carl E. Beason, 38, and was taken to Skiff Memorial Hospital when stricken. She died about 3:20 yesterday afternoon.
Mrs. Beason was born on Nov. 27, 1871, to Burr and Elizabeth Kirkpatrick near Forest Home. She was married on June 8, 1886, to William Beason who died in 1947. One son Ross also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Beason is survived by six sons and three daughters, Dewey Beason of Oxnard, Cal., Mrs. Lula Allen and Grover Beason of Newton, Burlee of Colfax, Earl of Grinnell, Mrs. Grace McCoy of Cedar Rapids, Sam and Frank of Lynnville, and Mrs. Mae Marchant of Newton.
Other survivors are 23 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and a brother Matt Kirkpatrick of New Sharon. Mrs. Beason was a member of the Christian Church. Funeral services are pending. ~ The Newton (Iowa) Daily News, Monday, July 30, 1951
