Brandi Kay Meyer, 32, of Newton passed away at the Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines, Iowa, on May 21. Brandi was a lifelong resident of Newton and graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1997.
She is survived by her children, Tyler and Olivia Vander Putte; parents, Kenneth and Merriellen Meyer; her sister, Nicole Meyer; grandmother, Mildred Slycord; and the father of her children, Rick Vander Putte, all of Newton.
A memorial service will be at the Newton Arboretum and Botanical Garden at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 28.
