Joe Richard Rabourn, a retired U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sergeant with 23 years of service and a native of Davenport, Iowa, died at The Carpenter House on Sunday, May 2, 2010.
He was a resident of Baton Rouge, La., and a former resident of Shreveport, La. As per his wishes, a private service will be held at a later date.
Joe is survived by his wife, Elizabeth P. Rabourn of Baton Rouge; a son, Michael Paul Rabourn of Bossier City, La.; a granddaughter, Elise McConnell and her husband Wesley, of Illinois; a step-daughter, Marsha Barkemeyer and her husband, Dr. Charles Barkemeyer, of Baton Rouge; a sister, Pearl Perryman of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, Max Rabourn of Newton, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Delores Rabourn and Naicia Hamm.
Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, Baton Rouge, is in charge of arrangements.
