MARSHALLTOWN — Ronald Gene McClelland, 83, of the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown died Wednesday March 31, 2010.
A graveside memorial service was today, April 2, 2010, at Palo Alto Cemetery in Newton.
Survivors include seven daughters, Mary McClelland of Newton, Tracy Sienknecht of Clutier, Daun Matzdorff of Farmington, Minn., Ronee Youngblood of Branson, Mo., Ronna DeNato, Ann Haakinson and Nicki Bleakney; a son, Roger McClelland of Shady Springs, W.Va.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Ronald Gene McClelland was born Dec. 25, 1926, in New Virginia, Iowa, to Paul Roger and Creola (Duncan) McClelland. He served in World War II with the United States Navy.
