Mindi M.J. Rogers, 27, of Newton died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010.
The daughter of Sharon A. Miller Rogers and Jim E. Rogers Jr. of Newton, Mindi was born July 13, 1982. Mindi lived most of her life in Newton, Iowa, graduating with the Newton Senior High School Class of 2000.
Mindi had worked for Dollar General Store and Dairy Queen in Newton and was visiting family and friends in Illinois at the time of her death. She was killed in a head-on crash in Greene County, Ill.
She leaves behind a daughter, Icess Ann, 4 years old. Mindi was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon A. Miller Rogers; her sister, Shauna M. Rogers (Nov. 7, 2009); her uncles, Bob Robson and Pete Rogers; and her paternal grandfather, James E. Rogers Sr.
Those left to honor her memory include her father; her daughter; her brother, Edwin J. Rogers (Courtney) of Glenwood, Iowa; her maternal grandparents, Edwin W. and Loretta Miller of Newton; her paternal grandmother, Hilda Tucker of Carrollton, Ill.; her aunt, Nina K. Robson of Newton; three nieces, Samantha Moesch and Madison and Natalie Rogers; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Wallace Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with services, which will be held at a later date. Memorials may be left in Mindi’s name at the funeral home.
