Former Newton Woman Dies of Cancer in Oregon

Went West a Year Ago last March-Was Married Shortly After to David South

The many friends of Mrs. David South will be grieved to learn of her death which took place at Union, Oregon, last Tuesday-the funeral being held last Thursday at Cove, Ore. It was her last request that she be taken to Cove and buried beside her brother, William McDannel.

She had been sick for several months and was in the hospital for an operation for cancer last February. She went west about a year and a half ago and was married shortly after her arrival three. She is a sister of M. C. McDannel of this city. She will be remember here as Mrs. Arthur Charlesworth. She leaves two sons and two daughters of this vicinity. She was about fifty years of age. ~ Newspaper unknown.
