Death of Lou Carpenter Shock to Everyone

The entire community was shocked to hear of the sudden death of Lou Carpenter last Tuesday evening. He was a man well worthy of the name, “good citizen” and a friend to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed not only in his home, but also in the church and social life in the community.

The funeral services were held at the Christian church on Friday morning, conducted by the Christian pastor and the Woodmen had charge of the service at the cemetery which was his request.

He was one of the charter members of the W. O. W. and in the nineteen years since the organization this is the second death. He carried $2000 life insurance in the lodge. The family has the sympathy of all their friends in the loss of the father and husband. ~ Newspaper unknown.
