Little Son Dies After Several Week Illness

At 2:00 a.m. today Russell Dale Schooley died after being sick several weeks. He first had an attack of tonsillitis. This was followed by some heart trouble and at the last his lungs became affected.

Russell would have been six years old the 9th day of next July. He started to school this fall and was able to go up to six weeks ago.

He was the son of Mrs. Sarah A. Schooley but had lived with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. P. Grant and was to them quite like their own child. His mother has been with him the past three weeks and he has had the tenderest care a sick child could have.

Yesterday he seemed brighter and by sat by the window. He asked for his drawing cards and was interested in them.

At about 8:30 last night he was taken sick and when his physician was called he told them the time of his death was near at hand.

The funeral will be held at the Grant home tomorrow at 9 a. m. Rev. W. H. Perdew will take charge. The little body will then be taken to Casey where it will be buried.

Russell was bright attractive little fellow and was well beloved by those in the Grant home who cared for him since he was a baby as well as the idol of his mother. ~ Newspaper unknown.
