Debra J. Green, 53, of Higginsville, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at her home.
She was born July 10, 1956, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of James Fanning Jr. and Norma Callison Fanning. Debra lived most of her life in Iowa, moving to Higginsville in 1999. She worked as a recess supervisor for Grandview Elementary School in Higginsville. She married Chris Wayne Green on Jul y 8, 1983. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg , Iowa. She was also a board member of the Higginsville Country Club and a Preschool Sunday School Teacher at Williamsburg.
Preceded in death is her brother, Dennis Fanning, and a granddaughter , Reagan Hackler . She is survived by her husband, Chris Green of the home; her parents, Junior and Norma Fanning of Kellogg, Iowa; one daughter, Jessica Hackler, and her husband, Devin, of Tomah, Wis.; three sons, Christopher Farver, Newton, Iowa, Dustin Green and Mitchell Green of the home; one sister, Denise Scheff and husband Ken of Newton; one brother, Darrel Fanning and wife Laurie of Kellogg; and four grandchildren, Jordyn Farver, Camden Farver, McKenna Hackler and Riley Hackler.
Arrangements are being handled by Hoefer Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010. A memorial service will be at the First Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, with Dr. Greg Fine officiating and Dennis Million, music director.
