Terry Dean Wickett, 54, of Newton died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center of Des Moines.
A memorial service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Howard Street Christian Church of Colfax with burial following at McKeever Cemetery.

The son of Kermit and Hazel ‘Peggy’ (Sager) Wickett, Terry was born on June 14, 1955 in Newton. Terry and Patsy Roam had the great joy of welcoming two daughters into this world, Erica and Ashley. Terry cherished the time he could spend with his daughters and grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending time with his best friends Doug Maahs and Bill Hanson. Terry and Bill shared a passion for flea markets and antiques.
Those left to honor his memory are his daughters, Erica Wickett and her fiancé Nathan and Ashley Roberts and her husband Derek; father, Kermit Wickett; siblings, Doug Jones, Rick Jones and his wife Shellie, Pam Smith, Tom Wickett and his wife Tammy, and Vicki Butler and her husband Rick; and seven grandchildren, Alexis, Devin, Reilegh, Adam, Hope, Faith, and Michael. Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel ‘Peggy’ Wickett.
