Esther Mozelle Crook was born Dec. 26, 1918, the second of nine girls born to Sipp and Flo Beukema of Newton, Iowa. She lived on the family farm until her marriage to Eugene Crook, also of Newton.
They moved to Pasadena, California in 1941 where she raised her family with gentle guidance and many prayers. She was a kind and generous soul always giving all she had with love.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1965 and her son Bobby in 1995. She is survived by her three daughters, Donna, Diane and Debbie; sons-in-law Chuck, Marvin, Al, and Frank; eight loving grandchildren and their spouses; seven great grandchildren; three sisters; Wilma Sleeuwenhoek, Helen Kinart and Eunice Stubbe and many nieces and nephews.
She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Jan. 2, 2010 after a long illness brought on by strokes. She will always be close in our hearts until we meet again.
Services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., Mountain View Cemetery, 2400 N. Fair Oaks Ave., Altadena, Calif.
