Jonas Ainley, whose prostration--with an attack of apoplexy, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Geo. Hammerly,--last Friday morning was noted in last week's paper, never rallied; he remained unconscious and continued to sink gradually until 12:30 a.m. Monday when he passed peacefully away. The funeral was from the Baptist church, at 10 a.m., Tuesday, conducted by Rev. Lilley, and the interment was at Oak Hill. Deceased was a native of Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England, and was aged 78 years, 10 months and 24 days. He married Ellen Thornton, 1836, and in 1843 they came to America residing in Blockington, Mass., until 1859, when his wife died. Twelve children were the fruits of this union. In 1874 he married Elizabeth Wadsworth, who died in 1892. Of the five sons and four daughters who survive their father, David and Albert Ainley and wife, of Perry, and Fred Ainley and Mrs. Geo. Hammerly, of Colfax, were present at the obsequies. Charley Ainley, of Des Moines, was in Canada visiting a brother, but his wife was present.

--Jonas Ainley, 79 years of age, was prostrated this morning with an attack of apoplexy, and is now lying unconscious at the home of his son-in-law George Hammerly, in this place, with meagre chances of recovery. This is his third attack.

Jonas Ainley died on Monday, in the 79th year of his age, and was butried from the Baptist church on Tuesday.

Note: The second wife of Jonas Ainley was Elizabeth Hutchinson Wadsworth. Oak Hill Cemetery is now called Colfax Highland Cemetery.
