Mary E Sewell, 98, of Fountain West Health Center, 1501 Office Park Road, West Des Moines, died of pneumonia Wednesday at home. Services will be at 10 am Saturday at Dahistrom Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ashton Cemetery near Baxter.

Mrs. Sewell was born in Jolly and had lived in Des Moines most of her life. She had been a homemaker and a member of Union Park Christian Church and Des Moines Violet Club.

Survivors include a son, Gene of Ankeny; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Friends may call from 3 to 8pm today at the funeral home.
