Died in Early Manhood

Howard J. Ross, son of Mr. and Mrs. Craig Ross of Reasnor, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Ves Zahn, in this city at 2:30 o’clock last Thursday morning, May 16, (1912) after an illness of about 6 weeks with heart trouble and other complications. He was born in Reasnor, Feb. 18, 1888, and was but a little over 24 years of age at the time of his death. He was converted about 3 years ago and remained a steadfast and consistent Christian. He is survived by his parents, two brothers and two sisters, Verle, Carroll and Lucile Ross, who are living at the parental home, and Mrs. Ves Zahn of Newton. Funeral services were held at the M E. Church in Reasnor on Friday, conducted by Rev. Frank Seeds, the pastor, a large number of friends from Newton attending.
