Bosma, Nancy Lynn – 1957-2009

Nancy Lynn Bosma, the daughter of Donald Charles and Shirley Williams Nebergall, was born May 24, 1957, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She attended Grinnell schools before moving to Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She graduated from Cedar Rapids Kennedy with the class of 1975. Nancy attended Iowa State University. She completed her bachelor’s degree in education in 1993 from Buena Vista University and received her Master’s degree in education from Viterbo University in LaCrosse, Wis., in 2000.
On July 30, 1977, Nancy was united in marriage with Scott Bosma at the Community Chapel in Lakota, Iowa. Nancy devoted her life to her husband and family. She was a member of Cornerstone Bible Fellowship. Nancy worked for Newton Manufacturing in customer service from 1979 to 1983 and was currently working for the Newton Community Schools as a fourth grade teacher at Thomas Jefferson.
Nancy died Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, in the Monarch Wing at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. She was 52 years old. Nancy was preceded in death by her grandparents, David and Audrey Williams and Ellis and Hilda Nebergall.
Those left to honor Nancy’s memory include her husband, Scott Bosma of Newton; her daughter, Dr. Jamie Bosma of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; her son, Bradley Bosma of Chicago, Ill.; her parents, Donald and Shirley Nebergall of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her brother, Dr. Robert Nebergall of Tulsa, Okla.; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jenifer and Mary Ann Bosma of Blue Earth, Minn.; her sister-in-law, Lorrie Bosma of Blue Earth; her brother-in-law, Brian Bosma of Brooklyn Park, Minn.; and her many friends and students.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at Cornerstone Bible Fellowship in Newton. Family will greet friends prior to the service from 10 a.m. until service time and again following the service. Memorials may be designated to Newton Dollars for Scholars, Hospice of Jasper County or Cornerstone Bible Fellowship and may be left at the church or at Pence-Reese Funeral Home.
