Lincoln Marshall, son of Emery and Mary Bone Marshall, was born near Cincinnati, O., March 11, 1864. When 12 years of age he moved to Newton, Ia., with his parents and lived on a farm west of Newton. He was united in marriage to Louisa Henning, March 4, 1891, moving to town where they lived for six years, and later purchasing a farm west of Newton, where they have since lived.
To this union were born three children: Leona May, who died at the age of 9 days, Mrs. Carrie McAllister, and William Marshall. Mr. Marshall met death accidentally on Aug. 25, 1936, being at the time of his death, 72 years, 5 months, and 14 days of age.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Allan McAllister, and son William Marshall; five grand children, Allan McAllister, Jr., and Betty, DeLores, Marilyn and Gerald Marshall; two brothers, Sheldon and Charles Marshall, and three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Hickman, Mrs. Tilsie Helphrey and Mrs. Lura Brock.
