Funeral services for Annabelle M. Mosbey, 71, of 1026 N. 5th Ave. E., a resident of Newton since 1936, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 10, at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.
The Rev. Ray Barnett, pastor of the First Christian Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Memorial park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 8 a.m. Wednesday. Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions to the First Christian Church will be accepted.
She died Monday morning at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Survivors are her husband, Dick; a son, Larry of Newark, Calif.; a daughter, Marilyn (Mrs. Ron) Carlson of Des Moines; and three grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers, Harvey Lewis of Bondurant, Dan Lewis Jr. of Roanoke, Va., and Roger Lewis of Raleigh, N.C.; and three sisters, Elizabeth (Mrs. Ernest) Mosher of Silver Springs, Md., and Jeanne Larson and Wilma (Mrs. Tom) Thorson, both of Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.
Mrs. Mosbey was a member of the First Christian church.
The daughter of Daniel J. Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Wake Lewis, she was born Oct. 5, 1914 in Buxton in Monroe County.
She was married Nov. 12, 1939 in Albia.
