MITCHELVILLE — Charles Howard Gaskill, 89, of Mitchellville died Friday, July 31, 2009, at Mitchell Village Care Center in Mitchellville. Per Howard’s wishes, the body will be cremated and no services are planned. Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax is caring for the family.

Survivors include his children, Ron Gaskill of Outing, Minnesota, Deborah Versteeg of Des Moines, Stephen Gaskill of Colfax, Leslie Gaskill of Ottumwa and Tom Gaskill of Colfax; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a brother, Bob Gaskill of Ames. Preceding Howard in death were his parents and his wife Lucille in 2007.
