WELL KNOWN CITIZEN OF SULLY DIES; BURIED NEAR PELLA

Pella Chronicle: Jacob Brand died at his home at Sully at 3:00 a.m., Saturday, July 7, 1917, aged 77 years and 4 months. His death followed a stroke of paralysis. He is survived by a large family of children, his wife having preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, at the home at 1:00 o'clock and at the Bethany church, between Pella and Sully at 2:00 o'clock, where burial was made. Mr. N. Brand and Mrs. Wm. Gregoire, of Pella, are brother and sister of the deceased.
