Bobette Henning, Kellogg, Dies; Services Friday
KELLOGG – Mrs. Kenneth (Bobette) Henning, 45, of Kellogg, died today at Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Smith Funeral Home at Grinnell.
The Rev. Sam Reaves, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Our Silent City Cemetery in Kellogg.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home Thursday.
Survivors are a son, Scott Henning of rural Grinnell; a daughter, Bambi Lynn Henning at home; a grandson, Nicholas Scott Henning of Grinnell; four sisters, Mrs. Earl (Ruth) Lemke and Mrs. Wilbur (Donna) Hunter, both of Kellogg, Mrs. Hugh (Barbara) Gilliland of Brooklyn and Mrs. Clyde (Betty) Phipps of Riverside, Calif.; and three brothers, Raymond Tripplett of Grinnell, Ronald Tripplett of Sun Valley, Calif., and Joe Tripplett of Riverside, Calif.
She was preceded in death by a son, Calvin John, in infancy, her parents, and two brothers, Robert and Rolland Tripplett.
Mrs. Henning had been employed at the Midwest Metal Stamping Co. in Kellogg for 14 years and was a member of the company union.
The daughter of Luellan L. and Lorena Faye Smith Tripplett, she was born May 1, 1935 in Long Pine, Neb.; and was educated in Nebraska and Grinnell schools.
She was married in 1955 in Grinnell.
