MONROE – Bessie F. Simbro, 89, of Monroe, died today, Nov. 5, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe with Merle smith, chaplain at Skiff Medical Center, officiating. Burial will be at Dunreath Cemetery in Monroe.
Visitation will be after noon Sunday with family present from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
A longtime resident of Jasper County, she was born March 14, 1910. She married Earl Simbro Oct. 19, 1928. Mrs. Simbro was a member of the Monroe Dress club.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Clifford and Pat of Newton and Bernard and Mary of Reasnor; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol Lee and Eldon Marshall of Monroe; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Stella Wade of Colfax.
