Services Held for Mrs. Louie (Anna) Saak
Mrs. Louie (Anna) Saak, 87, a resident of Baxter since 1941 and lifelong resident of the Baxter community, died Friday, Jan. 24, at the Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Baxter.
The Rev. T. A. Thompson, pastor of the church, conducted the services. Burial was in the Restland Cemetery in Baxter.
Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home in Baxter handled arrangements.
Survivors are a son, Wesley of Baxter; two daughters, Mrs. Dehlia Kruse of Baxter, and Mrs. Ralph (Elsie) Munger of Niagara Falls, N.Y., a nephew, Jerald Robinson, who was raised by the Saaks; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Lena Armstrong of Paradise, Calif., and Mrs. Ella Siege of Ira; and a number of nephews, and nieces and great-nephews and grandnieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1957, parents, two sisters, and four brothers.
Mrs. Saak was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Baxter.
The daughter of Simon and Carolyn Hoelscher Exter, she was born Nov. 27, 1887 south of Baxter and attended Baxter area schools.
She was married April 15, 1909.
