Margaret M. (Dickerson) Anthony, 80, of Newton died on Friday, June 19, 2009, at Hospice of Jasper County’s Monarch Wing in Newton.
A private burial will be at a later date at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in rural Marion County.
Survivors include her daughter, Judith D. Spaniel of Houston, Texas; two sons, Lewis Anthony of Pasadena, Texas, and Phillip Anthony of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six brothers, Charles Dickerson of Kentucky, Donald (Donna) Dickerson of Newton, Richard Dickerson of Newton, Mike (Sharon) Patton of Florida, William (Bobette) Patton of Newton and Lloyd (Barb) Dickerson of Shellknob, Mo.; four sisters, Lois (Leonard) Lingenfelter of Monroe, Kathy (Charles) Hewitt of Monroe, Carol “Coke” (George) Umbarger of Newton and Dianna (Murray) Dougan of Kellogg; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Douglas Anthony, Ersel “Gus” Anthony, Jr, and Joseph Hanlin; three sisters, Jean Dunn, Lela Patton and Penny Pigott; and two brothers, LeRoy and Bobby Dickerson.
Arrangements are being handled by the Wallace Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton.
