Ronald Henning Services to be Friday Afternoon

Funeral services for Ronald Charles Henning, 34, of 517 S. 2nd Ave W., a lifelong resident of Newton, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.

The Rev. A. B. Sudbrock, pastor of the Baptist Temple of Newton, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery. (Body later moved to Palo Alto cemetery.)

Friends may call at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home after 9 a.m. Thursday.

Survivors are a son, Bryan, of Maquoketa, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert C. Henning of Newton, seven brothers, William A. of Houston, Tex., Robert E. of Bernard, Harold E, Albert Jr., James F. and Richard B. all of Newton and Thomas C. of New Ipswich, Mass, and three sisters, Mrs. Betty Stafford, Mrs. Chrystal Morrow and Mrs. Alberta Meyer, all of Newton.

He was preceded in death by five infant brothers and sisters.

Mr. Henning, a construction worker, was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and was a member of the National Guard prior to joining the Army Medical Corps in which he served in the United States and Korea.
The son of Albert C. and Minnie V. Redding Henning, he was born April 21, 1943 at Newton and attended Newton schools.

He died Monday evening at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City.
