Services to be Held Today for Mary Gulling
Funeral services for Mary Catherine Gulling, 70, of Colfax, will be held at 10:30 a.m. this morning (Thursday, July 14), at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. The Rev. John McKinstry, pastor of the Howard Street Christian Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in McKeever Cemetery.
Casket bearers are Darin Gulling, bobby Gulling, Jr., Phillip Kasal, Harold Perry, Donald Altes and Gary Poulson. Honorary bearer is Aubrey Risner.
Mrs. Gulling passed away July 10, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
She was born April 20, 1918, in Mingo, the daughter of Milton and Pearl Pettit Neal.
On June 3, 1961, Catherine was married to Walter Gulling in Des Moines.
Mrs. Gulling was a lifelong resident of the Colfax area and a homemaker. She was a graduate of Mingo High School.
She is survived by one son, Wayne Wagner of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 2 stepsons, Richard Gulling of Newton and Robert Gulling of Colfax; 4 sisters, Evelyn Anderson of Mingo, Charlene Wagner and Vy Neal, both of Dinosaur, Colo. and Marion Kasal of Chelsea, Ia.; 2 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and 7 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Chase Wagner in 1952, her second husband, Walter Gulling in 1986; two brothers and one sister.
