Dorothy Wagner Services Held July 8
Dorothy Maye Clark Wagner, 67, of Colfax died Saturday, July 4, at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, at the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax.
The Rev. John McKinstry, pastor of the church, assisted by Rev. Marie Paterik, pastor of the Bethany United Church of Christ east of Baxter, conducted services.
Burial was in Colfax Cemetery.
Memorials to the Howard Street Christian Church may be left at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The organist was Pat Evans and the soloist was Walter Williams.
Casket bearers were Lee Atkinson, Lonnie Fields, Tom Jones, Larry Fields, Kevin Fields and Gary Poulson.
In charge of flowers were Lorna Hofer, Pam Dyer, and Gwen Fields.
Survivors are a son, Ron of Battle Creek, Mich., and two grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, James Clark of Logan and William Clark of Newton; and two sisters, Dolores Fields of Colfax and Carolyn Mitchell of Logan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wilder A., a brother, Loren Clark, and a sister in infancy.
Mrs. Wagner was a member of the Howard Street Christian Church, Pocahontas Lodge and United Auto Workers Union.
She was a retiree of the Maytag Co. in Newton.
The daughter of Loren and Faye Hall Clark, she was born April 22, 1925 in Marion County.
She was a graduate of Hamilton High School.
She was married to Wilder A. Wagner Oct. 31, 1945 in Altoona
