Edith Wagner, 63, Valeria treasurer for 30 years, dies
VALERIA - Mrs. Teddy (Edith) Wagner, 63, treasurer of Valeria for 30 years, died Friday evening at the Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. John McKinstry, pastor of the Colfax Christian Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Greencastle Cemetery.
Survivors are three sons, Gary Poulson of Altoona, Randy Wagner of Lambs Grove and Mike Wagner of Valeria; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a grandson.
Mrs. Wagner was a member of the Pocahontas Lodge.
The daughter of Benjamin and Lennie Catron Chard, she was born Dec. 4, 1917 at Bondurant.
She was married June 11, 1945 in Des Moines.

Edith Wagner Died Friday; Rites Tuesday
Mrs. Teddy (Edith) Wagner, 63, treasurer of Valeria for 30 years, died Friday evening, April 17, at the Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held at 11 a/m/ Tuesday, April 21, at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. John McKinstry, pastor of the Colfax Christian Church, conducted services. Burial was in the Greencastle Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Elvin Bailey, Nick Poulson, Dick Poulson, Keith Jones, Kenny Cunningham, Robert Owens.
Honorary casket bearers were Frank Warrick, Enoch Bailey, Joe Morrissey, Russ Snow, Charles O’Roake, and Lyle Ayers.
Flowers were cared for by Karen Rand and Julie Poulson.
Memorial services were conducted b y Pocahontas Lodge.
