Wallace, Willadean - 1925-2009

JANESVILLE, Wis. — Willadean F. Wallace, 83, of Janesville, Wis., died on Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Mercy Hospital. She was born in Otley, Marion County, Iowa, on April 28, 1925, the daughter of Henry and Vera P. (Berkenbosch) Steenhoek.
She married Robert L. Wallace in Newton on April 22, 1944, and he preceded her in death on Feb 5, 1978. Willadean had been a Janesville resident since 1961. She had been employed by Panoramic, Continuing Care and the Holiday Inn.
She is survived by her two sons, Gary (Diane) Wallace of Janesville and Robert E. (Tammy) Wallace of Ogden, Utah; a daughter, Marcia (Val) Swenson of Ogden, Utah; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four brothers, Hank (Ada) Steenhoek of England, Dick (Judy) Steenhoek of Henderson, Nev., Ron (Linda) Steenhoek of Thonotosassa, Fla., and Bill (Betty) Steenhoek of Kellogg. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3001 N. Wright Rd., Janesville, with the Bishop Jake Buchanan officiating. Interment will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Waveland Cemetery, Prairie City. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
