COLFAX — Kayla E. Gullion, 21, of Colfax died Sunday, March 29, 2009, at her home in rural Colfax
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton, with the Pastor Craig Peters officiating. Burial will be in Gullion Cemetery in Attica.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials in Kayla’s name may be left at the funeral home.
Kalya was born March 24, 1988, in Des Moines, the daughter of Brian Craig Gullion and Robin Ann Fresh.
Kayla was a graduate of Chariton High School in Chariton and attended LaJames College in Johnston. She was employed at Subway. She had resided in Chariton, Newton and most recently in Colfax.
Survivors include her mother, Robin (Allen) Criqui of Newton; her father, Brian (Tammy) Gullion of Chariton; three brothers, Brian Gullion of Des Moines, Michael Criqui of Newton and Cody Criqui of Newton; one sister, Kylie Criqui of Chariton; her grandparents, Liz and Chuck Stanley of Des Moines, Charlotte Masters of Newton, Donna Randolph of Joliet, Ill., and Lowell “Junior” Gullion of Chariton; her great-grandmother, Nona Gullion of Chariton; her step-grandparents, Glenn and Peggy Criqui of Emporia, Kan.; and her fiance, Thomas Heggen.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Ron Fresh Sr. and Terry Masters; her great-grandfather, Lowell Gullion; her grandmother, Kay Feehan; and her great-grandparents, Pauline and Raymond Fresh, Edward and Muriel Rohlfes and Bill and Mary Smith.
