Audrey Tipton, 99, Lifelong Resident, Dies

Baxter- Mrs. John (Audrey B.) Tipton, 99, a resident of Baxter since 1928 and longtime resident of Jasper County, died Monday at the Colonial Manor in Baxter.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Baxter. Dr. Harold Cooper, pastor of the church will conduct services. Burial will be in the Restland Cemetery in Baxter.
Boyd-Nickel Funeral Home in Baxter is handling arrangements.
Survivors are a son, Glen of Sun City, Ariz.,; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Milo, in 1979, four sisters and two brothers.
Mrs. Tipton was a member of the Congregational Church of Christ.
She was born Dec. 1, 1881 two miles south of Baxter where she resided until moving to Baxter.

Note: The daughter of Thomas and Emily "Emma" Sego Stinson. Died 8 Dec 1980. She married John William Tipton 18 May 1899.
