John E. Stinson Dies Saturday Rites Tuesday

John Edward Stinson, 52, of 708 E. 11th St., a resident of Newton for 30 years, died Saturday morning at the Jasper County Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesdat at Loehr Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. William C. Hamilton, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. today.
Memorial contributions to the Jasper County Home, in care of Mrs. Clarence Ripper, will be accepted.
Survivors are his wife, Katherine; two sons, John A. Stinson of Oceanside, Calif., and Lewis L. Stinson of Fullerton, Calif.; four grandchildren and a brother, Kenneth J. Stinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
Mr. Stinson was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He had been an inspector at the Maytag Co.
The son of Elmer and Grace McKibben Stinson, he was born Oct. 28, 1919 at Baxter and attended Baxter schools.
He was married to Katherine Raridon Dec. 3, 1938 at Lancaster, MO.
