MONROE - Mrs. George (Rosie) Dailey, 81, of Monroe, a cook at Duncan's Cafe for 39 years, died Sunday, July 8, at the Pella Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, at the Monroe United Methodist Church.

Elder Arthur Nichols of Knoxville will conduct services. Burial will be in Silen City Cemetery in Monroe.

Memorial contributions to the Heart Fund may be left at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.

Survivors are a son, Forrest of Monroe; two daughters, LaVerle Cunningham of Monroe and Patricia Stine of Monroe; three grandchildren; a brother, Edward De Heer of Knoxville; and a sister, Jeanette Lewis of Kansas City, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, a sister, six half-brothers and four half-sisters.

The daughter of Allewny and May Roff De Heer, she was born Dec. 27, 1902 in LaPlata, Mo.

She was married June 15, 1921 in Marion County. ~ Newton Daily News, July 9, 1984.
