MONROE — Velma Lucille Millage, 71 of Monroe, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines. Velma has been cremated and there will be a family service at a later date. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.

The daughter of Rex and Iva Pearl (Paulson) Greene, Velma was born on January 24, 1938 in Des Moines. On December 17, 1960, she was united in marriage to Donald Romaine Millage. Those left to honor her memory are her children; Rex (Mary) Millage of Colfax, Pamela Romaine of Monroe, and Rebecca Millage of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a sister, Ruth Sullivan of Colorado. Preceding Velma in death were her parents, husband in 2006, four brothers and a sister.
