COLLINSVILLE, Ill. —Rachel E. (Edgerton) Kinworthy, 90, of Collinsville, Ill., died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at Anderson Hospital of Maryville, Ill.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at First Methodist Church in Collinsville, Ill., with the Rev. Mark Horn officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be at West Branch Cemetery in West Branch.
The daughter of Orlando Edgerton and Lena May (Hobson), Mrs. Kinworthy was born Friday, June 14, 1918, in West Branch. She was a retired school secretary in Newton and was a member of the First Methodist Church and the church’s Pricilla’s Circle in Collinsville,Ill.
Survivors include a son, Harold (Flo) Kinworthy of Noblesville, Ind.; two daughters, Judy Kinworthy of Collinsville, Ill., and Janice (Stephen) Wivell of Austrailia; eight grandchildren; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Orville Kinworthy; a daughter, Norma Wilson; a son, Marshall Kinworthy; two grandchildren; a sister, Ramona Ervin; and two brothers, William and Keith Edgerton.
