SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Dale E. Evans, 74, of San Francisco, Calif., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at San Francisco General Hospital.
Graveside services for Dale, originally from Lynnville, will be held at a later date at the Lynnville Friends Cemetery.
During the 1960s and 1970s, Dale owned the Pinecrest Pipe and Tobacco Shop. For many years, he worked at the Saint Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco, where he managed distribution of surgical supplies.
Dale served his county in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1957.
Dale is survived by a sister, Barbara Paul of Grinnell; a brother and his wife, Dennis and Tricia Evans of Newton; four nephews; three great-nephews; and one great-niece.
