Death of Anna Loomis

A letter has just been received bearing the sad news of the death of Miss Anna Loomis at her home in Ashland, Oregon, on the 27th of November. Anna was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Japer Loomis, formerly citizens of this community, who a few years ago removed to their present home in Oregon. Anna was born near this city in September 1872, and was a little over 23 years of age when her death occurred. Her disease was typhoid fever. Her death is the source of great sorrow to the friends and associated of her girlhood, by whom she was dearly loved; and to the sorely bereaved parents in their far away western home the tenderest sympathy of their old friends and neighbors is extended in the loss of their loved one, and the great sorrow which came to darken their home in the otherwise happy Thanksgiving time. ~ The Newton Record, Friday, December 13, 1895, Page 1, Column 5
