McCall, Bettie

Mrs. Bettie McCall, an old mother in Israel, died at her home near Runnells, on the 14th inst (of this month), and was buried at the Loman graveyard. Mother McCall had reached the ripe old age of 83 years and 11 months; a long life full of usefulness. She was well known and highly esteemed by a large circle of friends in the Vandalia neighborhood. She was the mother of George W. McCall, of Runnells, well known to the old soldiers of Co. C. Twenty-second Iowa Regiment, with which he served during the war. ~ The Newton Record, Part Two, Friday, November 29, 1895, Page 7, Column 3
