Sully — Nelson Arkema, 77, of Sully passed away unexpectedly Tuesday near Bettendorf enroute from Michigan. Funeral services will be on Monday, Dec. 29, at 10:30 a.m. at Sully Christian Reformed Church in Sully. Visitation with the family present will be on Sunday from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at Sully Christian Reformed Church in Sully. The Van Dyk- Duven Funeral Home in Pella is charge of the arrangements.

Nelson, husband of the late Dorothy (Van Soelen) Arkema, is survived by six children: Patricia Arkema-Bauer of Largo, FL, Bryce Arkema of Pella, IA, Karen De Bruin of Oskaloosa, IA, Glen Arkema of Britt, IA, Alvin Arkema and Paul Arkema both of New Era, MI.
For those desiring, memorials may be designated for the Sully Christian Grade School or the Pella Christian High School.
