Nadine E. White, 83, of Newton died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at her home in Newton.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. Gary Marzolf officiating. The family will greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery in Newton.
Memorials to Hospice of Jasper County may be left at the funeral home.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Logue of Newton and Sheryl (Charles) Rinehart of Ankeny; four grandchildren, Jeffrey (Melissa) Logue, Lynette Stowe (Tom Hofer), Julie (Chad) Fleener and Christine (Rob) McGuire; 10 great-grandchildren; and four sisters.
Nadine was preceded by her parents; husband, Leonard White Jr.; son, Steven White; grandson, Shannon Logue; son-in-law, Doyle Logue; and a sister.

Those left to honor Nadine's memory are her 2 daughters, Bonnie Logue of Newton and Sheryl (Charles) Rinehart of Ankeny, Iowa; 4 grandchildren, Jeffrey (Melissa) Logue, Lynette Stowe (Tom Hofer), Julie (Chad) Fleener, and Christine (Rob) McGuire; her 10 great-grandchildren, Brayden, Brooke, and Jayme Logue; Emily, Alyson and Megan McGuire; Riley and Cory Fleener; and Katelyn and Cassandra Stowe; 4 sisters, Janet (Gary) Hacker of Tunnell Hill, Illinois, Mary Hodgson of Sequin, Washington, Darlene Scott of Live Oak, Florida, and Beverly Boege of Crown Point, Indiana; and her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard S. Hughes and Bessie (Miles) Hughes Walker; husband, Leonard White, Jr.; son, Steven White; her grandson, Shannon Logue; son-in-law, Doyle Logue; and a sister, Velma Swanson.
Nadine graduated from Newton High School and worked at Hy-Vee, the Vernon Company, Ardan in Des Mones, and Stockmans in Altoona.
She enjoyed flower gardening and working outside, traveling, and spending Christmas with her family. She had always wanted to go to school to be an interior designer.
