Agness O. Rumbaugh, 95, of rural Mingo died Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, at the Baxter Health Care Center in Baxter.
A funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at the Mingo United Methodist in Mingo, Iowa with the Rev. Eldon Nolte officiating. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. Burial will be at Union Chapel Cemetery in rural Ira.

Those left to honor Agness' memory include her son, Carroll (Judy) Rumbaugh of Mingo; two grandchildren--Brian (Carol) Rumbaugh of Mingo and Laurie (Henry) Rouse of Altoona; two step-grandchildren--Beverly (Bob) Grimes and Debbie (Mark) Harre of Ankeny; four great-grandchildren--Candice, Tiffany, Eric, and Marci; four step-great-grandchildren--Jake, Justin, Jimmy, and Matt; and many nieces and nephews.
Agness was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Cora (Maxwell) Spooner; her husband, Reid; three sisters; and two brothers. Agness was a graduate of Elkhart High School. She was a member of the Mingo United Methodist Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, cooking, ceramics and gardening.
