PRAIRIE CITY — Homer Neal Davis, 84 of Prairie City died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Memorial services will be on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 11 a.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be directed to the Prairie City Historical Society and online condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.
The son of A. Stanley and Josie May (Seriven) Davis, Homer was born on March 2, 1924, in Unionville, Mo. He was united in marriage to Mary Jane Curry in 1981.
Homer is survived by three sisters, Dixie Burns of Monroe, Opal Probasco of Huntsville, Utah, and Lois Nalley of Centerville; two brothers, Glen Davis of Worthington, Mo., and Robert Davis of Unionville, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a sister, Jean Burns; and a brother, Melvin Davis.
